Effective July 17, 2026  ·  Last updated July 17, 2026

1. Introduction

Tribeca Club ("Tribeca Club," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://jointribeca.com (the "Site") and runs a private, application-only membership community for B2B founders, operators, and investors in New York (the "Club").

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site, our application process, our membership program, and our dinners, runs, and other events.

By using the Site or applying for membership, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit an application.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

Membership applications. Our application is hosted by a third-party form provider (Tally). When you apply, we collect the information you choose to submit, which typically includes:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number)
  • Company name, role, and stage (venture-backed, bootstrapped, etc.)
  • Professional background and links (LinkedIn, company website)
  • Investor status or focus, where relevant
  • Free-text responses about what you're building, what you're looking for, and what you can offer the room
  • Referral source or the name of any member who referred you

Membership and billing. If your application is accepted and you join, we collect billing details necessary to process your membership fee. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Events. When you RSVP or attend a dinner, brunch, run, or other gathering, we may collect attendance information, dietary restrictions or accessibility needs, and any guest details you provide.

Communications. If you email us, reply to our messages, or communicate with us through any channel, we retain that correspondence.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring URLs, and time spent
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)

2.3 Information from other sources

We review every application personally. As part of that review, we may look at publicly available information about you — your company's website, your public professional profiles, press coverage, and similar sources. We may also consider references or backchannel input from existing members or people in our network who know your work.

2.4 Sensitive information

We do not seek sensitive personal information. Please do not submit government identifiers, financial account details, health information (beyond a dietary restriction or accessibility need you choose to share for an event), or similar data through our forms.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Review, evaluate, and decide on membership applications
  • Verify who you are and confirm you're actively building or backing B2B companies
  • Communicate with you about your application, membership, and events
  • Operate the Club: organize dinners, runs, and gatherings; manage RSVPs; curate who's in the room
  • Maintain a member directory or roster available to other members (see Section 4.1)
  • Process membership fees and maintain billing records
  • Send you Club updates, invitations, and — if you opt in — occasional newsletters
  • Improve the Site and understand how it's used
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or conduct that violates our community standards
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

3.1 What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to train machine learning models. We do not use it for any purpose materially different from those described above without telling you first.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your information to advertisers or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4.1 With other members

Tribeca Club exists so members can find, vouch for, hire, back, and sell to each other. If you become a member, we maintain a member directory: your name, company, role, and a short profile are visible to other members. Your information also appears on event guest lists and in introductions we make on your behalf.

What we don't share with members: your application's free-text responses, your billing information, or anything you tell us in confidence. If you'd prefer to limit what appears in the directory, email us and we'll accommodate reasonable requests.

Member-to-member conduct. What members share with each other — including candid references, deal flow, and fundraising intel — is exchanged member-to-member. We ask members to treat it as confidential, but we cannot control what another member does with information you choose to share with them. Use your judgment.

4.2 With service providers

We share information with vendors who help us operate, under contracts limiting their use of it. These include form and survey tools, email and communications platforms, payment processors, calendar and RSVP tools, cloud hosting and storage, and analytics providers.

4.3 With event venues

To host dinners and gatherings, we share necessary details with restaurants and venues — typically headcount, name, and any dietary restrictions you've told us about.

4.4 For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tribeca Club, our members, or others.

4.5 Business transfers

If Tribeca Club is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.

5. Photography and recordings at events

We sometimes photograph or record our dinners, runs, and gatherings, and may use those images in marketing, on the Site, or on social media. If you'd rather not appear, tell us or the photographer at the event and we'll respect that. If an image of you is already published and you want it removed, email us and we'll take it down.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

  • Accepted applications: for the duration of your membership and a reasonable period afterward
  • Declined or withdrawn applications: typically up to 24 months, so we can reconsider you if your circumstances change — unless you ask us to delete sooner
  • Billing and tax records: as long as required by law (generally seven years)
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you

7. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember preferences, and to understand traffic and usage. Third-party analytics providers may set their own cookies and collect usage data subject to their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do. The Site may or may not respond to Do Not Track signals; where a Global Privacy Control signal is received and applicable law requires, we treat it as an opt-out request.

8. Your rights and choices

Everyone. Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete your information
  • Opt out of marketing emails, at any time, via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us

Deleting your information generally means we cannot continue your membership, since we can't run the Club without knowing who's in it.

If you're in a state with a comprehensive privacy law — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing list of others — you may have additional statutory rights, which typically include the rights above plus the right to obtain a portable copy of your data, the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither), and the right not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. Some states let you appeal if we decline a request; if we deny yours and you're in such a state, our response will tell you how to appeal.

California specifically. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will require written proof of that authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Outside the United States. The Club operates in New York and is built for people building B2B companies here. If you contact us from abroad, we'll honor the access, correction, and deletion requests described above as a matter of practice, though we don't hold ourselves out as established in or targeting any non-U.S. market.

How to make a request. Email us at the address in Section 12. We'll take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting — usually by confirming you control the email address associated with your application or membership — and respond within 45 days, extending once by another 45 days if the request is complex and we tell you why.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from the Site.

10. Where we operate

Tribeca Club is based in New York City. We store and process personal information in the United States, and our service providers may do the same.

If you access the Site or apply from outside the United States, understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws differ from — and may offer less protection than — those in your country. By submitting information to us, you acknowledge that transfer.

11. Children

The Site and the Club are for adults building and backing businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site or your membership after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
